I See Noise - BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS!!

Today is a VERY exciting day filled with 3 great announcements for I See Noise and all of you!

I'm not even going to do a little shpeel we're just gonna get right to it!

1. Randa's Accessory Pick Of The Month

To bring together my love of fashion & style from my blog I have decided to share a part of it with all of you in each purchase!

Each month there will be a new accessory designer featured as the accessory pick of the month. The first 50 people to purchase an I See Noise print will receive a special promo card inside of their packages allowing them to receive a special discount on the accessories!

For the month of May I am featuring one of my all time favorite ring designers - you have heard of her many times over on the blog... Georgia Heraty of Social Experiment Rings! I am thrilled to announce that she is the first of many designers to be featured each month!

The Social Experiment promo code is valid from May 1st - May 31st 2012 but is only available for the first 50 customers... and that goes quick!

2. Buy One Get One For  50% Off - BFF Love Promotion!
Starting May 1st - May 7th (one week only!) you can purchase 1 print at regular price and get the 2nd print for 50% off to share with your best friend! Etsy doesn't exactly give me the opportunity to feature this discount on their site so if you would like to take part in this special offer please let me know! This promo excludes custom orders and The Quote Collection.

How To Get The Promo:
1. Email me at iseenoise@gmail.com with the 2 prints that you want to order
2. I will place them in the Etsy shop for you to purchase with the discounted price!

(all orders will still include taxes and shipping)

3. The Quote Collection

This is one collection for I See Noise that I have been working on for a little bit now. Instead of the usual fashion quotes I wanted to make sure they had deeper meanings but were still fabulous to have around the house.

All quote prints are 11"x17" and come in 24K gold and Sterling silver.

The collection consists of the following 5 quotes:

"When the little black dress is right, there is nothing else to wear"- Wallis Simpson
"Elegance is the only beauty that never fades" - Audrey Hepburn
"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with the little black dress" - Karl Lagerfeld
"One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art" - Oscar Wilde
"Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak" - Rachel Zoe

Well...that's it! Told you it was exciting! So basically if you order in the first week of May you get 50% off your second print AND the promo for Social Experiement ... I'm feeling quite generous these days. Especially since all of you have been so supportive of the prints and my blog!

I See Noise is also officially on Facebook! Join the fun HERE!
Thank you!!
xoxo

Oh... and PS! ..... this little number is now on pre-order!!

Floral State Of Mind

The days have been sunny and super warm lately and although we're already over one month into Spring I've just recently noticed all of the beautiful trees and flowers around me that are in bloom!

It's put me in a more cheerful state of mind and has me wanting all items floral! My first floral purchase of the season was the Zara shorts seen in the post below and now I have my eyes on this top by TOPSHOP!

The pallet of this outfit is bright and cheerful and in opinion - with all of the white - super chic! Now, instead of having it be too pretty and girly of an outfit with the floral and the peplum frill of the skirt, I've counteracted it with the edge of the zippers and the McQueen skull bracelet.

Pointy toe shoes are in this season and I couldn't be happier! A pointy toe makes the leg look longer and dainty - just what we need!

Click on the item description to purchase -
1. TOPSHOP Floral Tee $72
2. Rebecca Minkoff - Mini 5 Zip Clutch $175.99
3. Alexander McQueen - Twin Skull Bracelet $330
4. TOPSHOP Mint Textured Peplum Skirt $68
5. ASOS PARIS Point Court Shoes $39.99

I have some BIG announcements for I See Nosie Prints coming in the next week so stay tuned through the blog, Twitter & Facebook - all I can say is... new items... a great accesssory designer... and major savings!

Shopping Finds - Vegas Essentials

Days left: 10
Excitement level: Through the roof!

My shopping lists as of late have comprised of outfits and items that I will be needing for my trip - and a few other items that I am currently substituting for items that no longer fit. For Vegas outfits I typically like to stick with a theme but this year I am so scattered and in love with so many dresses that I've gone all over the map!

The other day I was tidying up my closet and noticed an abundance of bottoms that no longer fit me that I seem to want to hold onto them in case I gain a bit of weight and will fit them again. But really, once a pair of Club Monaco faux leather pants stretch - they'll never fit me like they used to even with the weight gain. SO it's time to get new items and sub them out!

I'll be posting the items that don't fit me anymore on the "Shop My Stuff" tab above so check back - maybe theres some items for you!

I have been searching for classic pumps for ages and never found the right ones that fit perfectly, were affordable and didn't have a platform. Okay, I caved and purchased a platform. I'm not very impressed with myself! However, I really do enjoy these ones but it's unfortunate that although they are the same size the black ones are way too tight on me and were a waste to purchase!

Click on the item description to purchase -
1. H&M Conscious Collection dress with cutout back $79.50
2. Zara floral printed shorts $49.50
3. Spring Banhi black pumps $50
4. Spring Banhi nude pumps $50

This Zara V-Back dress in black - $49.50 was the perfect buy! It was fantastic on with a pair of pumps, jazzed up accessories and belted at the natural waist for my Vegas nights out but with a pair of sandals it can be the ultimate daytime lounging dress.

My Fillipa K black skinnies were just not doing it for me anymore and I barely wore them - I never felt like a bombshell in them to begin with so I'm not too sure on why I purchased them. However, these Zara Super Skinny Jeans $49.50 are perfect! They have a ton of stretch to them and grasp the ankle without cutting off circulation!

The winners of the last giveaway of the seaon for The Cross Design VIP 10% off card and the Glam bracelet by DeLysh Design are.....*drum roll*

Yolanda - The Cross Design VIP 10% off card
Jen - The Cross Design VIP 10% off card
Laine - The Cross Design VIP 10% off card
Marissa - The Glam Bracelet by DeLysh Design

You have all been sent an email!

Pantone Color Of The Week: Bellflower

This week's featured color from the Pantone Spring Color Trend Report 2012 is "Bellflower" designed by Rafael Cennamo.

The inspiration behind this hue: "I always dream in Black and White, and I created my spring summer 2012 collection in my dreams".

I find that this soft lavender goes well with all skin tones and hair colors and should be a color that you add to your closet this season, that is - if you can find it! I had a bit of a struggle looking for items in this shade from the major stores online and was shocked! With a tone this beautiful I would want it plastered all over the shops. I find that it works best when paired with nudes, soft pinks, whites and greys. If you want to go a bit either then try it with black or a navy blue!

H&M outfits under $100 - Poolside Addition!

Ladies and gents it is T- 16 days until I leave for sunny & 37 degree LAS VEGAS! I can even see the 4th on my computer calendar when I open it without switching months...trust me, that's a big deal!

Lyndsey, Tamar and myself did a quick shopping trip yesterday for some LV essentials such as dresses, shorts, bikinis, etc. I did pretty well! I nabbed a pair of floral printed Zara shorts and 2 pairs of classic pumps from Spring in black and nude (all which will be shown in the next shopping finds post) I also bought a dress from Ariztia and it's gooooorgeous but after trying it on again at home I realized...it doesn't really fit. Don't you hate when that happens?

Anyways, my mind is currently on pool side and after going into H&M and seeing how reasonable all of their prices were I thought it was about time for another H&M UNDER $100 POST!!!...Las Vegas poolside addition, of course.

Right now, H&M is offering a wide selection of one pieces and two piece swimsuits and I really think they topped what they did last year. I'm a big fan of the strapless items (much better tan) and the colors and prints are classy and chic!

Below are some items to keep you pool side glamed up for under $100, pick your suit and shades and total it up!

Happy shopping!

Don't forget to enter in the giveaway I'm having for The Cross Design VIP cards and a GLAM bracelet by DeLysh Design - there will be 4 winners! Click HERE to enter.

Standing Armed Fall Winter 2012

Last week I had the pleasure of attending Vancouver's Eco Fashion Week. It was my first time in attendance and with a packed house and handfuls of sustainable designers I felt I would be in for a treat! The highlight of my 2 days was watching the designs of Standing Armed by Lindsay Walsh. A line that I'm very fond of and to be completely honest - it was the ONLY reason I attended EFW.

One of the best ideals behind Standing Armed is not only is it designed by a Vancouverite but it is manufactured and produced locally - these days this is UNHEARD of!!

Lindsay Walsh really knows how to tailor and fit a woman with her clothing. Her patterns and color choices for the Fall Winter 2012 collection is a major testament to her taste and ideas for the line. It's chic, classic, modern and sleek - all factors that any confident woman chooses for her wardrobe.

My favorite item from her FW12 line is by far the watercolor floral pattern silk pants that came in a mixture of red/pink and green/yellow (seen below). The FW line is ultra feminine and offers a range of separates that can be integrated into all wardrobes.

I can't wait for the new season of SA!

Pantone Color Of The Week: Solar Power

This week's featured color from the Pantone Spring Color Trend Report 2012 is "Solar Power" designed by Jeffrey Monteiro.

The inspiration behind this hue: "Classic American Sportswear — clean, sophisticated and modern".

This is one bright to be excited about and shockingly one that I don't have in my wardrobe yet. After searching for items to add to this post I realized how easy it is to wear the this vibrant color. I will admit I've always been a bit shy from it because it screams COLOR! Now that I can see how to wear it as a tailored tone down jacket, mixed with a white stripe or even just on my nails, it can be an easy color to bring into my closet.

I hope this is one color you'll try this season!

Shopping Finds - Lil' Bit Of Each

Oh Hello!

Shopping Finds today has something from all 4 of my favorites: Fashion, Beauty, Art and Home Decor. I've been trying to tone down my shopping and spending lately because I want to be able to shop while I'm in Vegas this May (23 days, OMG!) and hit up some of my favorite stores. So, instead of purchasing the larger items or a lot of items of lesser quality I've just been purchasing the smaller items that make a big difference!

Let's shop!

You all know my love for Social Experiment rings - I just can't get enough of them! This is my second ring from the design genius Georgia Heraty. She set up shop (literally) at Muse Social Fashion House last week and made her gorgeous rings on the spot! All you had to do was pick your stone and pick your color for the band - I've had my hopes for a black stone for a while now.

I'm such a big fan of DeLysh Design - you've seen Elyshia Samy's bracelets and monogrammed vase on the blog before. She recently just added these amazing woven Glam bracelets and is currently taking pre orders to be shipped tomorrow! I'm always wearing my black and gold one, c/o of Elyshia!

Another fabulous purchase from Muse Social Fashion House! This pastel and nude top is definitely going to be my staple for this Spring (unfortunately I've already pulled the thread...ahhh!!). It has great detailed down the front panel, grey shoulders and the ivory sleeve cuff is lovely!

One of my favorite stationary shops is Paper Poet in downtown New Westminster - there is definitely a soft spot for this shop because Eric and I discovered it while living in the area! They have all colors of the rainbow so I couldn't help but grab the metallic mint - one of my favorite colors this Spring!

I've been trying to branch out with my lipsticks lately after seeing Lauren Wickman of L.A. In The Bay - she always rocks a colored lip and it's very inspiring! Believe it or not, I only started wearing lipstick last year...Lyndsey literally dragged me to M.A.C and made me purchase 2 colors I would never normally choose - 1 year later and I'm hooked! I grab this tangerine shade called "Siren" by Revlon and am OOOOOBBSSSEEESSSSED!
Lofty Living is a store I just can't get enough of - another store in downtown New Westminster that Eric and I discovered while living there. It has everything I could want in my place. If you like a store like The Cross Decor & Design you would L.O.V.E this gem! I scored this beautiful vintage looking liquor tray and can't wait to fill it up with a ton of items! Check back on my Instagram to see photos of it being updated.

Don't forget everyone! Enter for your chance to win a sterling silver 3 way necklace by Clutch Jewels! Click HERE to enter - the rules are easy and quick!

The winner of the LinzGutz giveaway is Anita Hardy! Congrats girl!

Clutch Jewels necklace giveaway!

We are into our second week of giveaways and I gotta say - holy giveaway central!! I have 3 giveaways lined up on back to back Mondays with next week being a DOUBLE giveaway with 4 possible winners! I also have 3 back to back giveaways for I See Noise prints on 3 other blogs - I can't keep up!

Today is a very special one. I've been waiting a few weeks to bang this one out and have been super impatient because it's exciting! So since you all love jewelry so much I want to introduce into your life Clutch Jewels! Mary Olson is the mastermind behind celebrity favorite & lovely bracelets, necklaces, earrings and hair pieces that will rock your outfits onto a whole new level!

I had the pleasure of spending my weekend as her neighbor during the Portobello West Market and was just amazed at her presence and how incredibly loving everyone was of her jewels (how could they not be?!)! I don't think I ever saw a moment where her table wasn't being devoured by jewel hungry ladies all wanting a piece!

Today, Mary and myself are teaming up to giveaway her Mandana necklace - a value of $75 and can be worn 3 ways! You should see when the light hits the stone - stunning.

Getting to know Mary was just as exciting as her line and if her contagious enthusiasm doesn't keep you shopping - her jewelry will!

Here's a little bit about the designer herself:

1. When did you start Clutch Jewels?
"I started Clutch Jewels in 1998 upon graduating from Fashion Design School.  Accessories were a huge part of my inspiration with fashion & style so after a few stints designing clothing for another label I found my voice with Clutch Jewels.  I now have a core group of fabulous women that love to wear cool jewels with personality & style that keep coming back looking for that special piece amid our large collection of Clutch Jewels.  There is a piece in my collection that you will love to wear because I think of women like you when I design!"

"Then in 2008 I started my cool lil' Fashion & Culture Blog & Youtube Channel www.FashionistaSista.ca where i do a number of segments like the Street Style 7, Culture Clash, Best of.., and StyleMaker and each one showcases style on so many cool levels. Check out my latest Street Style 7 video cause its fresh and full of style inspiration worn by beautiful people that are truly innovators of style. http://clutchdesigns.com/blog/2012/03/31/street-style-7-episode-2/"

2. What inspires you to create?
"I'm inspired by Street Style more than anything.  My personal style is always evolving because I have some amazing pieces of clothing, accessories, jewels and footwear in my collection, and when I bring in a new piece to my wardrobe it pushes my style boundaries and I find myself developing a fresh new look that inspires everything in me.  That's my high I guess.. style innovation."

3. Is there a certain celebrity you would love to see wear your items?
"I've been blesses to have had quite a few celebrities wear my Jewels throughout the 14 years Clutch Jewels has been around like Tyra Banks, Nelly Furtado,  Gwen Stefani for starters.  The sistas I'd love to share Clutch Jewels with are gals like Scarlet Johansen, Reese Witherspoon and Kiera Knightley"

4. Pearls or diamonds?
"Both & more pretty please!"

5. Sequin - day or night?
"Both! I love all things fresh and fabulous."

"Rock steady brothas n sistas.. Much love."
- Mary

Pantone Color Of The Week: Tangerine Tango

This week's featured color from the Pantone Spring Color Trend Report 2012 is "Tangerine Tango" designed by Adrienne Vittadini.

The inspiration behind this hue: "Modern art such as Guyton Walker paintings, as well as world travel and primitive cultures".

The Tangerine color is one to get excited about! It has an immediate pop when paired with blacks, pastels and even neutrals. If going bold just isn't for you then perhaps stick with the bracelet or even a hint in your makeup.

A great and easy way to mix up your wardrobe and bring in the color is to substitute. If it's a nautical theme you're going for - switch in the tangerine for your shades of red. If it's the chic tailored blazer look then switch your Celine Tote for the ostrich chain bag!

Have fun with this one!

Pantone Spring Color Report 2012

Since it's officially Spring I thought it was about time that we discussed the newest color trends! I'm very excited about these colors, they seem to be the ones I gravitate towards more than the vibrant brights of last season.

I typically stick to neutrals, black and white so when I add a pop of color I like it to be more muted. The colors of this season were designed in the hopes that it would inspire brighter days and optimism. Free, playful, light and breezy were all terms used to describe these colors - I say, perfect! It will be make playing dress up more exciting each day.

One of the best shops that carries these beautiful tones is Zara - soft and feminine tones carry throughout the store!

PS. If you guys can please click HERE and vote for myself and Lyndsey it would be greatly appreciated! We're trying to gain as many votes as possible to win the trip to Las Vegas and 2 other groups have almost 300 votes!!! HELP!

Spring Hues

Alright! I've had enough! I understand that I live in Vancouver..and that it rains a crap load but cooomeee oooon! It's officially Spring and in my mind it's nothing but sunshine and warmer weather. So, from here on out it's nothing but pretty and warm outfits!

Today's was inspired around the BaubleBar necklace - the electric hue just screamed "pair me with blue!", so I did. The soft shades of the powder blue accentuates the grey tones in the form fitting skirt. The killer Givenchy heels and Ray-Bans play it cool - all in all, the 3 elements of the perfect outfit.

Tomorrow I have super crazy news that I wanna share with you guys because I need your help! It involves 3 things...Lingerie...Spending Cash...AND VEGAS!!!!

Shopping Finds - the home, the gems, the wrists

I have to admit I'm quite proud of myself. I haven't purchased any clothing since my last shopping finds post! So what...like a week and a half, maybe longer? Okay, that's not something to be proud of. Especially when instead of clothing it's gone to home decor and odds and ends!In the last 4 days I've spent two of them at The Cross Decor & Design but that's what I get for spending my time downtown with a gift card.

So what do we got here?? Let's sum it up!

I absolutely adore the two teal tea light holders, they were perfect for the office shelf along with the white wicker lantern. My office was beginning to look a bit stuffy and typical office-like and this allows it to be more playful. All 3 are from The Cross Decor & Design!

C/O of The Cross Decor & Design this gorg crystal diamond shaped tea light holder. It brings in the shine where necessary!

C/O of The Cross Decor & Design, Voluspa Mokara - THE BEST SMELLING CANDLE IN THE WORLD! Seriously, you know how much I love candles, right? They're in almost every "Shopping Finds" post but I might have to shove them all to the side and opt for this one over and over again.

C/O of The Cross Decor & Design the cutest butter dish in the world. I'm currently using it in my bathroom to place my earrings/rings when I wash my face/hands.

It really feels like Spring time with the trees blooming and these beauties on my lobes! They're feminine and simply lovely in all ways. I got these at Front & Co. - they also came in mint!

During a conversation with Jen from Prairie Girl In The City, I was completely inspired to create lovely little cards and stationary for my loved ones. Although I appreciate the small things and homemade gems I never thought to create them myself - thanks to her I will be now! I can't wait to use this Paris themed stamp kit to create! Also from The Cross Decor & Design.

C/O LinzGutz who you might recognize from the GIVEAWAY I'm having HERE - I've been sporting this heart shaped bracelet with most outfits. What's so great about it is that I don't have to tailor it to fit my tiny wrists - it just does!

C/O Elyshia from DeLysh Designs - these incredibly cute and easy to wear bracelets! I've wanting a design like this for a while but couldn't find it anywhere. She will be adding them to her Etsy shop so stop by and have a look! By the way...did you know she bakes cupcakes? I KNOW! I just ordered a dozen for me and my girls during the Housewives Of Vancouver premier tomorrow!

Well, that's it!...for now...

P.S. Besides the great giveaway I'm having HERE - Devon Rachel is holding her own for the 24K Gold Chanel No. 5 Perfume Bottle I See Noise Print!! It's your second chance to win!

LinzGutz Bracelet Giveaway

I know you've been eagerly waiting today after I announced that the first of three giveaways is happening! Well...here it is!

Lindsey Gutierrez of LinzGutz and myself are giving away such a beautiful piece - the dark blue inspired quartz stone with gold metal chain! I seriously had to contemplate keeping it for myself ;) but of course I couldn't do that!

Lindsey has some amazing gems in her Etsy shop that are perfect for just about any outfit. For myself, it's hard to find bracelets because I'm extremely picky. I prefer a certain type of chain - it must be yellow gold and with thick but small links. Thank goodness I've found a designer that has them! If you prefer a bracelet without a stone - she has just the links and they're the right fit for all arm parties!

Let me introduce you to Lindsey and her line...

1. When did you start creating accessories?
"Well I started making hair accessories (bridal & kids) since 2003 and always liked making jewelry . I always gave them away for gifts or had them in boutiques etc. I found out about Etsy and started working on my accessories again. Mainly my hair accessories...I just recently this year started making bracelets and necklaces and earrings. "

2. What is your inspiration?
"I like to keep up with the latest fashion and wanted to start my own collection. Here I am ADDICTED!!! One of the main reasons I started making bracelets is because my wrists are tiny and always hard to find ones that fit me."

3. What celebrities would you choose to wear your pieces?
"I would love to have anyone wear my bracelets, earrings, necklace etc... Celebrity or not it makes me happy!! But of course If I had to chose it would be Jennifer Lopez!!"

4. Leather or lace?
"Lace."

5. Pearls or diamonds?
"Diamonds."
