big city, bigger dreams

You know the saying "small town, big dreams"? Well, that doesn't apply to me. I grew up in a city of 600,000 people - most with big dreams. When I was younger I wanted to grow up and be everything including the kitchen sink and sure enough I did everything I didn't say I wanted to do.

As I'm getting older I have dreams of being in New York, how I get there I do not know, what I do there I do not know. What I do know is that I will get there. What do I want to do now with my life? Basically dress people in fabulous clothes and make jewellery. It's aaalll happening.

I didn't come from a small town, I came from a big city - and I have bigger dreams.

As I digress...

The lovely Alexander Liang and Paisley Smith from Kenton Magazine are so special to feature me and Jeremy Szafron in their latest vid from the Le Chateau Style Event! xoxo

I just recently finished a new chain bracelet that I will definitely be making in more colors. It's the perfect addition to most arm parties and adds a chic touch to all outfits! I'm definitely thinking about starting an Etsy shop for my bracelets and paintings...what do you think?!

PS. Did anyone catch the Victoria Secret Fashion Show?! Can you say AMAZING?!?! Oh and the 2.5 million dollar bra, no bigs. I got one of those.

DIY Makeup Kit w/ Style

Monday night was our girls night in at Tamar's house and besides all the deserts, cheap television and new clothes was something far more exciting that she had to show us - her newly organized makeup kit!

Using a fabric covered box from Winners for $16.99 and plastic zip baggies from the dollar store for $1.50 each this was by far the best way to organize all of her makeup in a creative way!

This gave me ideas to organize not only my makeup but also my art and paint supplies, toiletries, jewelery supplies and even a way to pack away my accessories for a trip. (Yes, I take THAT many accessories when I travel LOL)

How do you organize your makeup? Do you have a creative way to organize them? Let me know!

Thanks to Tess and Brit at Belle Époque 21 I was happy to come across a link they shared on their facebook page which was a fabulous DIY for a chain link bracelet! I knew I had to try it immediately and jetted off to Michaels for all the materials I needed. I got 3 different chains and 2colors of suede cord. I can't wait to make bracelets all weekend for myself and friends!!

doin it myself

As talked about before I'm starting to create my own jewelery and it really is easy and a lot of fun! I've found a great bead and accessories store just 5 minutes away walking distance from my apartment and I've made it a place I go to on a weekly basis (if time permits).

I've purchased all the basics that I need and make my trips for the extras.

Here are my two newest creations:

1. Pyrite stone bracelet on leather cord

2. Double chain necklace with craft beads
