Shopping Finds - Warm Weather Essentials

I am LOVING the weather we are having in Vancouver right now. It has been 20-28 every day and bright and sunny. This is putting me in a major summer outfit mood and I've forgotten what pants are for 2 weeks now!

While in Vegas I really didn't shop. I only purchased 2 items and I'm actually quite proud of myself! In fact, with all of the sunny days I have trying my hardest to simply soak up the rays and not waste too much time going to shops. Although my birthday did make up for that!

Lyndsey purchased this ah-mazing lime green blouse from one of my favorite Vancouver shops - Muse Social Fashion House. It's soooo nice to wear with the cropped front and longer back. Can't wait to wear it more often!

I had the pleasure of visiting a wonderful boutique in Yaletown Vancouver the other day - Jennyfleur Loves! With a ton of designer goodies and amazing unique jewelery finds I gravitated straight towards this spike bracelet and can't take it off!

I tend to not spend a lot of money on my summer sandals because of the amount of wear. You're probably thinking "but if you wear them everyday wouldn't you want to spend more on them and get good quality sandals??" Aldo does a great job with their summer sandal selection and for $35 you really can't go wrong. I needed one that was simple, chic, comfy and easy to wear with many outfits. These Kahler pair in white with the gold pendant is perfect!

I've had my eye on this H&M bikini since I first saw it online at the start of the season. With the removable straps it can be a super cute strapless with no tan lines!

Once again I've purchased the most delicious cupcakes from Elyshia Samy of DeLysh Design. You may remember the cupcakes she made me once before seen HERE as well as the black and gold GLAM bracelet I gave away last month! I honestly believe that shes Vancouver's best kept cupcake secret! You can order some cakes of your own at delyshsc@hotmail.com

I hope your weeks are full of sunshine as well and you're getting into the Spring spirit! Have you purchased anything great from the places I mentioned above?? Let me know in the comment section!

Oh, and FYI! All 50 of the Social Experiment Ring promo codes have been given away! Have you used yours yet???

shopping finds and my first online shop!

I haven't really gone shopping since Boxing Day and I was due for some new favorite items. Myself, Lyndsey and Josh stopped by one of my ultimate favorite stores in all of Vancouver - Muse Social Fashion House! I stopped by on a lucky day, basically the entire store was on sale (score!) Unfortunately, it's very difficult to find my size in anything because it's the first size to go - but I can easily get away with one size up in certain pieces.

I got my hands on a great hooded anorak style jacket by Ya Los Angeles. I've been wearing it all day every day since I purchased it. With it's billowy and casual style it's the perfect addition to a chilled out outfit but added with heels is still pretty chic.

I also got these Bamboo loafer style platform heels that I'm obsessing over (quickly pan over to the "Shit Fashion Girls Say" video "OOOBBBSEEESSSSEDD!!!"). Since it's been below freezing and snowing outside I haven't had a chance to wear them but I already have a boat load of outfits planned out.

Below are 2 outfits from this week, the one of the right has the new Ya Los Angeles jacket I was talking about. I've been trying to take my items that I currently have and transform them into something brand new, as seen in the first photo.

That's a Club Monaco wrap dress that's a bit dressy and longer than seen in the photo. I tied it extra tight around the waist and pulled the top over to create a smaller waist and a more casual style dress. Paired with some leggings as tights (extra warm) it was the perfect outfit to go shopping in!

Photo 1 - Club Monaco dress, leggings and socks , Le Chateau wool wrap, Charlotte Russe boots and BCBG hat.
Photo 2 - Ya Los Angeles jacket, Joe Fresh denim shit, Club Monaco long sleeve, necklace and tote, Ray Ban sunglasses.

On another note, I wanna say how excited I am that I've officially opened my Etsy shop!!! You can now purchase my I See Noise prints online!! I have many more to come in other colors and designs so stay tuned!! Click HERE to check out the shop.

Shopping Finds

I couldn't help but do a little bit of shopping over the past week and a bit. It's not my fault tho....and I need these pieces...I know I sound as crazy as I think I do. But I can justify these items.

The dress - ok how can I not? It's such a great military inspired dress that I purchased from the Muse Fashion Social House holiday event and it's perfect for all seasons. It's one size too big tho, but I can make do with it! The coat was a steal I practically saved money and I was looking for a camel colored coat anyways. The belt...uhmm...I can't justify this one, I JUST LOVE GOLD!

Dress - Ya Los Angeles from Muse Social Fashion House $85.00 / Coat - Costa Blance $39.95 from $110.50

Belt - Joe Fresh $8

Your Monday Must-Haves

How was your weekend? The weather in Vancouver was extra nice the past few days with beaming sunshine which put me in a great mood outfit wise - no black at all! Friday was low key just a night in with Eric and some fun errands around Vancouver. Saturday was particularity nice since I got to have a great brunch date with a friend at Glowbal in Yaletown and Sunday brought a ton of Christmas joy. I spent the day with Eric first going bright and early to the Vancouver Flea Market then to our favorite craft store on Main Street - Urban Source. We then spent the rest of the day with his family drinking hot home made mochas, decorating the house, smelling freshly baked Christmas cookies and listening to holiday music! It finally feels like the holidays!

Here are a few things that made me smile over the weekend!

An icy cool arm party - All bracelets from Club Monaco and silver square bracelet from BCBG.

My fantastic flea market find $5 haggled at half the price!

Another great flea market find - white T-bar necklace stand $10. I wish I bought 2!

Holiday macaroons from the Muse Fashion Social House Holiday Event - it was my breakfast of champions.

Multicolored tags from Paper Poet in New West 35 cents each or 25 for $5.00 .

An encouraging quote on a large mug - Chapters 50% off sale, only $6!
